    Jennifer had been using credit cards for years without realizing how her behavior impacts her score.

    She worked with a Financial Coach to learn about the different parts of a good credit score and how to demonstrate good credit behavior on all five fronts. She then took action to apply these new behaviors to her life.

    As a result, her credit score has increased 100 points over the past year.

    Juawan is finally feeling financially empowered because he has a bank account and support from his banking institution, City National Bank.

    He loves that he can call or show up to seek financial advice or assistance and the branch manager or staff responds in a welcoming and helpful manner.

    Through structured training and mentorship, we equip emerging developers with the knowledge and resources to drive sustainable, affordable development in underserved neighborhoods.

    Our participants have grown into capable, socially conscious developers who contribute meaningfully to the economic and social renewal of their communities.

    They walked her through all the steps towards home ownership and guided her through the mortgage process, making everything super easy to understand and navigate.

    Thanks to their assistance and diligence, she was able to purchase her first home through their First Time Homebuyer Program.

    Janelle has made significant financial progress after working with a Financial Coach to review her expenses and credit profile.

    She opened a savings account through the Urban League of Essex County's (ULEC) Savings Initiative Program and has been making consistent deposits, following a credit plan, and establishing a structured payment plan to pay down several credit cards.

    Overall, she has achieved a 50-point increase in her credit score since enrolling in ULEC services.
